We want everyone to be able to browse FitzTopPicks, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, zoom or high-contrast settings.
What we aim for
Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we do
- Every page is checked automatically with axe-core before each release.
- The whole site works with a keyboard alone; a "Skip to content" link starts every page, and focus is always visible.
- Photos have text descriptions, and search results are announced to screen readers.
- Pages reflow on phone screens and when zoomed to 200%.
- Buying happens on eBay, Etsy, Gumroad or the App Store, which maintain the accessibility of their own checkout pages.
Known limits
- Photos of games show their labels and boxes; the words on them aren't always written out, but the title, console and condition always are.
Tell us about a problem
If anything on the site is hard to use, contact us and say which page and what happened. We'll reply within two business days.
